Maggie Says: Wow, nice CG work! ^_^. The pose you have here for Elly
is really nice, I think it really gives the picture character. I would
like to say, that when doing a face, try not to make the sides and angles
quite to square. Round the corners and add a cew curves for her cheek
and chin. With the way she is standing in this picture, when shading,
you may want to think of a light source. Usually it's from the front.
If it was, in this picture the leg that is jusrther back would be a little
darker than the one in the front, and same goes for her arms. The arm
sticking out from the back would be darker than the one crossing her font,
becasue it would be in the shadows! ^_^ I really would like to compliment
you on her hair though! it has lots of nice motion, and the coloring is
very nice as well!!! keep up the great work!

Young Wang Says: Not bad. =} I thought, however, her pants were
brown, not pink. In general, it's a nice picture. I think the coloring
could you a little more refinement. Try using smaller brushes, and/or
a 'push' or smearing tool to get better detail in the shadows. For the
actual composition, I think the part of her jawline near her ear should
be angled upwards more. At some point, the jaw needs to start going up
to meet the ear, ne? =}

Lorelai Says: Very nice! You show that you're good at observing
from the accuracy and smoothness of Elly's uniform. I'm still not sure
I could draw the Solaris uniforms if I tried! My only comments are that
you should work on the face...her cheekbones are really angular and her
chin is really sharp...it almost looks like you drew the picture with
a mouse, because the lines are so sharp. I think you should do some pencil
sketches first, don't be hurried to do any CGing before really mastering
what I call the "natural mediums." Trust me, CG will be that
much easier if you can do it on paper first. There are a few spots in
her hair where it looks a bit obvious that you used a photoshop airbrush
or something...when you put highlights in hair, go with the hair direction/flow,
and use thinner brushes. Observe hair and see how it reflects light -
not as a mass. Also where her skirt ends....I know it's form fitting,
but the way you portray it makes it look like part of her skin. There
will always be a slight difference where uniform ends and leg/tights start...wrinkles,
shadow, material difference, anything. Generally however, the picture
has a lot of concepts down and I'm impressed! Keep up the good work.
